Foundation Scholarship
The Gaby and Tad Humpal Foundation Scholarship is dedicated to supporting individuals who have
experienced the profound loss of a parent or sibling. Our mission is to provide compassionate support and essential resources to families navigating the journey of grief. We aim to foster healing and resilience through community and financial aid. Through this scholarship we aim to help those
affected by life changing loss find hope and rebuild their lives.
Eligibility:
The Gaby and Tad Humpal Foundation Scholarship is available to individuals who have lost a parent or sibling and are pursuing higher education or vocational training. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to their personal growth and academic or professional goals.
Award Details:
Scholarship Amount to be determined on a case-by-case basis. Funds to be used towards tuition, books, or educational expenses. ​
Application Requirements:
1. Personal Statement: A written essay (500-750 words) describing your experience with loss,
how it has impacted your life, and how pursuing your educational or career goals is part of your
healing journey.
2. Proof of Enrollment: Documentation of current or planned enrollment in a higher education
institution or vocational training program.
3. Letters of Recommendation: A minimum of three letters from a teacher, counselor, or
community leader who can attest to your character, resilience, and commitment to your goals.
4. Personal Reflection: A brief statement (250-500 words) on how the scholarship will help you
achieve your educational or career aspirations and how you plan to use your experience to
contribute to your community.
Selection Criteria:
Scholarship recipients will be selected based on the strength of their personal
statement, the impact of their loss on their educational and career aspirations, their academic or
vocational achievements, and their potential for future success.
